Dave Travis
David Travis, Associate Director and Founder

Recent New York directing credits include the
world premieres of Barbara Hammond's Norman &
Beatrice and Michael Aronov's Manigma, as well as the
American premiere of Richard Bean's The
God Botherers, and Animal
Farm (the Puppet Musical) as part of The
Orwell Project (currently on a national tour). Also in New York,
The Chicago Conspiracy Trial, Travis'
own multi-media re-translation of Euripides' The
Phoenician Women at the Ohio Theatre, and The
Elephant Man and Howard Brenton's Bloody
Poetry at The Connelly Theater. No Exit (Jean Cocteau Rep),
Eugene O'Neill's Beyond the Horizon (Chain Lightning), Mamet's
The Woods (the first production of the play to be granted
NYC performance rights in over 15 years), and Grimm
Tales at The Connelly Theater and Henry Street Settlement's
Harry Dejur Playhouse.
At the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Travis directed
Richard Nelson's Bal, and Bloody Poetry by Howard Brenton.
In Great Britain, he directed the Scottish premiere of Lanford Wilson's
The Rimers of Eldritch at the 50th Edinburgh
Fringe Festival.
As a recipient of a Sheldon Fellowship, David
assisted the touring company of Trevor Nunn's production of Tom
Stoppard's Arcadia, and the British Premiere of August Wilson's
Two Trains Running.
Other directing credits include Burn This,
The Crucible, and Feydeau's A Flea in Her Ear at the
Loeb Drama Center.
