Ginevra Bull most recently directed Synapse Productions'
acclaimed high-tech multi-media adaptation of George Orwell's 1984,
as part of THE
ORWELL PROJECT.
In New York, Ginevra has worked with Classic Stage Company, Chain
Lightning Theatre, Voice & Vision, and Playwrights' Preview
Productions. Ginevra produced Synapse Productions' GRIMM
TALES at the Connelly Theater, for the New York International
Fringe Festival. She produced a second run of that production at
the Harry Dejur Playhouse at Henry Street Settlement's Abrons Arts
Center.
In England, Ginevra worked with the Naked Pony Theatre Company
in Canterbury, where she devised their acclaimed production of Cyrano
de Bergerac. She has directed Le Grand Meaulnes at the Avignon
Festival, and The Emperor's New Clothes and The Emperor
and the Nightingale at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Additional directing credits include Romeo & Juliet,
Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Steven Berkoff's
Say a Prayer for Me. In March of 2001, Ginevra made her American
directing debut with the Synapse Production of Sophie Treadwell's
MACHINAL. In June 2002, Ginevra
directed Moira Buffini's award-winning comedy
SILENCE at the Ohio Theatre.
