Welcome!

On behalf of everyone at Synapse, thank you for helping to make THE ORWELL PROJECT a success!

As you know, Synapse's mission is to get people talking, and this time we really made it happen. Our productions of ANIMAL FARM and 1984 addressed the most pressing social and political issues of our time, raising questions about free speech, governmental use of the media to sculpt public opinion, and the corrupting influences of privilege and power.

We were thrilled to facilitate conversation in after-show talkbacks with activists and authors and to hear what YOU had to say about the issues that matter to you most. Through our educational programming - the Youth Mock Election, the Doublethink Summit and the Orwell Symposium - we got more than 1000 high school and college students talking about and learning about the importance of participating in our democratic society.

Our dream is to spark similar conversations all over the country. By taking ANIMAL FARM on a national tour and creating forums for audiences to discuss the issues that shape their lives, we will take a real step towards changing the society in which we live through our art.

At this critical time in Synapse's history, your financial support will make a real difference in what we are able to achieve and how far ANIMAL FARM can run!

Thanks again for your support - I look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
